Community Support Groups
Community Support Groups are a vital part of the recovery process at Gambling Recovery For All. These peer-led groups provide individuals and affected others with a non-judgmental space to share their experiences, offer mutual support, and learn from each other. Many people struggling with gambling addiction and its impact feel isolated, but our support groups foster connection, belonging, and shared healing.
Our groups are designed to offer a safe and open environment where individuals can speak freely about their experiences without fear of stigma. The peer-led nature of the groups creates a sense of solidarity, as participants are encouraged to share their struggles and triumphs in a space where they feel understood. This shared experience reduces feelings of loneliness and provides emotional comfort. In addition to sharing, the groups are a platform for learning. Our trained facilitators lead discussions, introduce coping strategies, and provide guidance on managing the challenges of recovery. Participants gain valuable tools for managing urges, improving emotional regulation, and creating healthy habits that support long-term recovery. For affected others, our support groups offer a chance to connect with others who understand the unique challenges they face. The groups provide a space to process emotions, rebuild trust, and empower themselves to regain control of their lives. With ongoing support from others who have walked similar paths, participants can find encouragement, build resilience, and develop a network of people who support their recovery journey.
